From the Principal…
Hello Bluff Creek Families!
This three day week has flown by and I find everyone at Bluff Creek talking about February! The month of February puts our staff and students solidly into the second half of the school year. The 100th day of school is coming up fast and you will begin to see planning for the 2018-19 school year has already started!
Monday, January 29th is our Bluff Creek Ed Issues Forum January meeting. All parents are welcome to attend at 3:20 p.m. right here at Bluff Creek! Our Topic is PBIS (Paw Pride), the Leader in Me and our District 112 Bullying Policy.
SAVE The Date – Parents of 5th graders:
“Parent Preview” for incoming 6th graders – Thursday, February 1, 2018, 6:00 p.m. at Chaska Middle School West
Please take time to think about how this school year is going for your children. Would a conversation with the classroom teacher help you to understand their strengths and needs? Spring conferences take place on Thursday, February 22nd from 3:30-7:30 and Tuesday, February 27th from 3:30-7:30, but you do not need to wait until conferences to make contact with your child’s teachers.
I Love to Read Month begins on Thursday, February 1st. Please look for information from Lori Peralez, our Media specialist, in the next week.
Starting Monday, January 29th and continuing through February 9th, the new Food Label Contest will be taking place at Bluff Creek. Your child will bring home a flyer with specific information from our PTO.
Have a wonderful weekend!
