From the Principal…

Hello Bluff Creek Families!

The end of the 2017-2018 school year is almost here! It has been a very busy year filled with lots of learning, exploring and creating. The teachers and staff at Bluff Creek have worked very hard to provide students with memorable learning experiences and happy memories. We are sending a talented group of fifth graders on to the middle schools and we believe they are prepared for the challenges ahead. For returning families and students we have some exciting plans for the 2018-2019 school year.

A few last minute details:

There is still time to pay your overdue lunch balances through next Thursday.

We still have over 200 library books that have not been returned. Please take time to search at home for any school library books.

Order your school supply kits today!  Paper orders will be collected until June 4th.  Please note, if you use the paper order forms you won’t pay tax.  Go to schooltoolbox.com to order online.  Last day to order online and get it delivered to school for back to school night is July 1st.  Supply kits can be picked up at Back to School Night on Aug 29th.

We are in need of two to four Parent Ambassadors to represent Bluff Creek Elementary during the 2018-2019 school year. If you would like to answer parent questions about our school and share your experiences at Bluff Creek, this might be the volunteer opportunity for you! Please contact me at macdonaldj@district112.org for more information.

Would you like to volunteer next year? We have openings on our Ed Issues Forum team which meets about four times a year on Mondays from 3:20-4:20 p.m. We discuss issues and share information that impact our students, staff and families. If you are interested please contact Jackie Schmidt, my administrative assistant at Schmidtja@district112.org.

Thank you for your ongoing support this school year.  I hope you have a wonderful summer filled many special memories with your children.  I look forward to seeing families at out Back to School Night on August 29th!

Warmly,

Joan MacDonald
