Principal’s Letter 3-21-19

From the Principal  Hello Bluff Creek Families!  Spring break is here! After this rather difficult winter, our school community will have a little time for rest and relaxation. Whether you go away on vacation or have a “staycation”, I hope you have time to enjoy the wonderful children you share with us each day.  Students return to school on Monday, April 1st.  Parent Input forms for the 2019-20 school year will be available in the front office on Monday, April 1st and must be returned by April 18th.  Let’s end this school year with success! Jenna Paschke Scholarship Fund

Jenna Paschke Scholarship Fund   As many of you know, one of our former students passed away this past fall.  Jenna Paschke had a passion for family, for swimming, for her teammates and all of her wonderful friends.  On September 25th, 2018 at the age of 13, Jenna passed away suddenly and unexpectedly just 30 hours after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.   There has been a fund set up to honor Jenna’s memory.  The goal is to honor her memory by raising $25,000 to provide a yearly scholarship ($1,000) to a West Express Senior.  The recipient will be someone who demonstrates some of the qualities and gifts that Jenna shared with us.  Jenna had written a list that was found in her closet shortly after her passing.   Jenna’s list very simply included these words: Work Hard, Be Nice and Give Compliments.   Please consider donating....
