Principal’s Letter 1-24-2020

From the Principal – Hello Bluff Creek Families! It is hard to believe that we are moving into the last week of January.  Next Wednesday there is an important community opportunity that families may want to attend. With the failure of Question One in the November referendum, the school district is now faced with the task of developing a budget proposal to address upcoming shortfalls. The district needs to make budget cuts over the next three years: $5 million in cuts for the 20-21 school year $3.5 million for the 21-22 school year $1.7 million for the 22-23 school year. The decisions being made at this time will have a direct impact on many aspects of Bluff Creek year. Community Forum: Budget Reductions & Cost Containment  Community members, parents and staff are invited to learn more about the budget proposals and cost containment process at a community forum on Jan. 29. Kids Heart Challenge

Bluff Creek Physical Education department is once again participating in the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge. Our students will be learning about how to keep their heart healthy through nutrition, physical activity, and healthy life choices. If families choose to donate (participation is optional) to the American Heart Association, students can receive thank you gifts for the generous donation that will go towards research and care for those who suffer from heart disease.
