Principal's Letter 2-26-2021

From the Principal…

Hello Bluff Creek Families!

Thank you again for your flexibility with our sudden asynchronous day scheduled for Friday, February 26th.  Due to this change in our routine, name tag distribution has been moved to Monday, March 1st. Your child will receive a handout with the same information which was sent home earlier. Please know that if a child forgets their name tag they will not be prohibited in riding their assigned bus to or from school. We are asking students to wear these tags daily and to be responsible for them.

We have reached the end of February and for many students the end of a full month of in-person learning. Parent Teacher conferences have been completed, new interventions are in place and we are now planning for summer learning opportunities and summer school.

Students are completing their mid-winter writing samples as we approach the last days of Trimester 2. There is no school for students on Friday, March 5th and teachers have a workday to close the trimester grades.

We will be emphasizing and celebrating reading with a Reading Iditarod. Look for reading record sheets that have been sent home with our students. This should be very exciting and we will digitally track the race each day.

Thank you for your continued partnership and have a great weekend!

Warmly,

 Joan MacDonald, Principal
