Principal's Letter 5-7-2021

From the Principal…

Dear Bluff Creek Families,

It would be an understatement to say this was a difficult week for families, students and staff at Bluff Creek, however we continue to move forward with positive energy and a commitment to ending this school year with many positive experiences for our students.

Next year is the question on most people’s minds right now. We have a virtual meeting for second grade parents about the 3-4-5 Family opportunity for the 2021-22 schoolyear. The meeting will take place on Monday, May 10th at 6:00. The meeting code was shared with all second-grade parents this week.

Kindergarten Sneak a Peek will take place virtually this year. This virtual introduction to Kindergarten takes place on Tuesday, May 11th. Our first session is at 8:30 and our evening session is at 6:00. Parents of incoming Kindergarten students received the meeting code and a reminder will be sent out on Monday.

Staffing for next year is almost complete, but I wanted to let you know that we have a few of our staff retiring. Michelle Bulat, Cindy Cowles, JoAnne Hillyer, Laurel Kiesow and Barb McMahon are all retiring this school year. Jenna Rowley, a former fourth grade teacher has resigned and will be spending time at home with her family. All of these amazing professionals will be missed. We will complete our staffing and then begin working on our class lists.

Next Wednesday, May 12th we will have our last Late Start of the school year. Students begin school at 10:30 a.m. No breakfast is served on the late start day.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mothers, Grandmothers and other wonderful women who help our children to become all that they can be!

Have a lovely weekend!

Joan MacDonald
